How does the PRP treatment work?

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is used to stimulate and nourish follicles for hair growth. Highly concentrated plasma contains platelets that release growth factors; these growth factors have been shown to generate new hair and improve the density and health of your existing hair

Who is a Candidate for PRP?

Hair loss can occur in both men and women, and this procedure is designed with that in mind. PRP is equally effective as a way to counteract female pattern baldness as it is for our male patients. The best candidates for a PRP treatment are patients who have slight to moderate hair loss, who want to take charge and regain confidence in their look.

Results after PRP for Hair Restoration

PRP is an out-patient procedure, which means there is no surgery involved and downtime is minimal. The innovative treatment produces results are reliable and natural in the least invasive way. The procedure can produce great results as a stand-alone treatment, but can also be recommended in conjunction with other hair loss techniques. It is important that patients understand that results can be slow and gradual. Generally, results will begin to transpire after the first two or three months, and will be most noticeable around the six-month mark.

How many treatments will I need for hair restoration?

We recommend starting with 4 treatments, four weeks apart for best results for most people with thinning hair as an initial treatment. You will need maintenance treatments every one to two years thereafter to maintain the results of your PRP hair regeneration treatmen

How does a Platelet-Rich-Plasma Treatment for Hair Loss Work?

Your PRP treatment at the Skin Barre offers solutions that are two-fold: the procedure will stimulate hair regrowth while working to slow down future hair loss. As the name suggests, the procedure works through injections of blood with a particularly high concentration of plasma, injected directly into the patient’s hair follicles.

The platelet-rich blood is drawn from the patient, plasma is separated in a centrifuge, and the injection is then positioned into the various locations around the scalp that are being targeted. The special, micro needle is extremely thin and the great majority of our patients report little to no pain. And, because the blood is drawn from the patient’s own body, the risk of complication or rejection is eliminated.

How soon will I see results from my PRP treatment?

Although you will start to see improvement in hair texture, a thickness of hair shaft and growth of new hairs in the treated area within two weeks after treatment, it typically takes three to six months from your initial treatment to see measurable results.

FAQ

  • What is Botox? What is Dysport? How are they different?
Botox and Dysport are both used to treat and prevent wrinkles, fine lines, and deep facial furrows. By working beneath the surface, Botox and Dysport help reduce the underlying muscle activity that causes the skin to appear wrinkled or folded. Dysport is very similar to Botox – same price, same duration, but kicks in a little quicker.
  • When will I see results ?
DISCLAIMER **Results may vary. We are reputable for complete customer satisfaction for completed treatments. Before and after images reflect real results from real patients, although individual results may vary. No treatment is promised to provide permanent results. A guarantee is neither provided nor implied. Statements estimating treatment duration and the number of treatments required are based on the typical experience of our patients, however individual experiences may vary. .
  • How long do results last?
How long do results from Botox last? Results from Botox injections typically last between 3 to 6 months. However, the duration of the results varies depending on factors such as the patient's age, metabolism, and the amount of Botox injected. At The Skinbarre, our experienced medical professionals will provide you with personalized Botox treatments tailored to your specific needs, ensuring long-lasting and natural-looking results. • How many treatments will I need?
How many treatments of Botox will a person need? At The Skinbarre, our experienced medical professionals will work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan that meets your specific needs and goals. On average, most patients receive Botox treatments every three to four months to maintain their results. However, the frequency of treatments may vary depending on your individual circumstances. During your consultation, our team will discuss all aspects of your treatment plan, including the number of treatments you may need, to help you achieve your desired results.
  • What is the recovery time?
The recovery time from Botox is typically very minimal. You may experience some mild redness or swelling at the injection site immediately after the procedure, but this usually subsides within a few hours. You can return to your regular activities right away, but we recommend avoiding strenuous exercise or rubbing the treated area for at least 24 hours to give the Botox time to settle into the muscles. The full effects of Botox usually take about 7-10 days to become noticeable, and they can last for up to 3-4 months before another treatment is needed.
